| PAUL SPOONMORE: PAUL is one of nine children born to George and Loretta Spoonmore. He grew up in a small town is southern Illinois next to the Missouri border, which is where he gets his accent. Paul is currently a mechanic for Southwest Airlines working the midnight shift. Paul started performing as Elvis when he was caught at a weak moment (ie: a bit less than sober) and was asked to put on an Elvis show. The next day he came to his senses and tried to beg off. Fortunately for those of us who have heard him sing, he did do that first show, and that led to another and another. Today you can find Paul and Memories From Memphis performing all over the Phoenix valley several times a month at private and public clubs. Since he started about two and a half years ago, Paul and the crew have done several benefit shows, giving away many thousands of dollars to those less fortunate. December 2006 Memories From Memphis appeared in Saint Louis, Missouri to do a benefit show for a six year old girl with a rare cancer. We have done shows for the Children's Hospital through the Shriner's, We have done shows for Family Services and Veterans Hospital, and most recent for a Beautiful young Lady with Huntington's Disease her website is http://azmiracle.com As with all the benefits that they do, 100% of the proceeds went to the family. Plus we have done other numerous shows for others with cancer and other illnesses where 100% of all proceeds were donated to the family in need. A personal thank you goes out to 2 companies Southwest Airlines was very helpful in donating tickets to raffle off 100% round trips for free which raised many extra dollars. Mr. Kim Sigman of Community Tire was also very helpful in donating oil changes, tire alignments and even a free set of tires to be raffled off to help us raise money my thanks goes out to them as well so if your in the Phoenix Valley and need tires or maintenance on your car contact Kim Sigman. www.communitytireaz.com |
